(Some devices do not meet the medical requirements in terms of technology, and therefore may only be used for veterinary medicine or for technical purposes).

Formula for calculating the overall magnification for microscopes: focal distance of the lens tube (f=) x magnification factor of the lens (e.g. 0.4) x magnification of the eyepiece (e.g. 12.5x)/ focal distance of the lens (f=).
